Bijnor. Chandrashekhar, who contested for the first time from Nagina (reserved) Lok Sabha seat, won the election with a huge victory. Despite the strong candidates of NDA and India Alliance and BSP candidate also being in the fray, the public stood with him and made him win the election by more than 1.5 lakh votes.
Chandrashekhar is the fourth MP from the seat formed in 2009. Nagina Lok Sabha seat is famous for woodcraft and brush business and is also plagued by river floods. Chandrashekhar, who won the election by defeating five rivals, will now raise the voice of Nagina in Parliament. The public has a lot of expectations from him. Here is a conversation with Chandrashekhar and his issues.
Question: You came from outside and won the election. The public did not consider you an outsider candidate. How did this happen?
Answer: People like me are not outsiders, they are from among the people. I raised the voice of the people on every small and big issue and stood up for the people. The people made me contest the elections. No one ever said that I was an outsider candidate.
Question: Bijnor: The present time is of coalition politics. Which coalition would you like to go with, NDA or India?
Answer: I did not contest the elections alone. Whoever voted for me also contested the elections for me in a way. I contested the elections from a party. I will sit with my party leaders and decide the future strategy. No decision will be taken alone.
Question: You were not included in the India Alliance. Are you still in touch with the leaders of the India Alliance?
Answer: If I had been included in the India alliance, the state election results would have been different. The leaders of India left no stone unturned in mocking and criticizing me. They were busy in defeating me instead of BJP. I will discuss further with the party leaders.
Question: You have been in the area for almost four years. You must have prepared the development agenda. What do you want to do now?
Answer: In Bijnor district, people's income is from farming, but there are many possibilities for industries here as well. I will work for education, development and employment. As a brother and son, I will work so much for the people that the people will remember me.
Question: The youth openly made you contest the elections. What will you do to increase employment for the youth?
Answer: Woodcraft and brush industry work is done on a large scale in Nagina Lok Sabha seat but there are no facilities for entrepreneurs here. There is not even an industrial area. First of all, work will be done on the industrial area. This will bring new industries and the youth will get employment.
