Greater Noida News: There is panic among the people due to more than 50 people getting sick after drinking contaminated water in Eco Village 2 Society of Noida West, Delhi NCR. Women and children affected by drinking polluted water have been admitted to the hospital by their relatives for treatment. The people of the society have demanded the local body agencies to increase medical facilities. 

Many residents of Noida Extension Group Housing Society, mostly children, have fallen ill due to contaminated water. Now the people living here are worried whether the reason for this is the contamination of water. 

The water tank was cleaned with chemicals 

Regarding this incident, the people of the society say that the water tank was cleaned with chemicals two days ago. Chemicals were left in the water tank, due to which these people have fallen ill. After this incident, people are getting water from outside and drinking it. 

The condition of the society is not good 

People of Eco Village 2 in Noida West say that the people of the society need medical help. The situation here is not good. Doctors are treating children affected by contaminated water who are still suffering from vomiting. 

This is how it was revealed

Raj Kumar, a resident of Supertech Ecovillage 2, said the matter came to light when residents were discussing the water shortage on a WhatsApp group on Monday evening. "One resident reported that his child was suffering from diarrhoea and vomiting. Soon after, another resident also reported the same symptoms in his child. After this, many people also shared similar experiences. Very soon it became clear that hundreds of residents had fallen ill after drinking contaminated water," Kumar told PTI.
