Moradabad News Today: The holy festival of Navratri ended with great pomp on Saturday (12 October). Ravana Dahan took place across the country on the occasion of Vijayadashami i.e. Dussehra. During this, the festival of Vijayadashami was also celebrated with great pomp and gaiety in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh. 

Ravana Dahan programs were organized at more than 6 places including major places of Moradabad city like Lajpat Nagar, Line Paar, Katghar and Daswan Ghat. The most prominent program among these was organized at Line Paar Ram Leela Ground, where the Ravana made for burning was the center of attraction. 

110 feet tall 
effigy of Ravana was burnt at Ram Leela Ground across the Line. This effigy was made by artisans of Meerut. Ravana Dahan program was also organized in Lajpat Nagar. District Magistrate Anuj Kumar, SSP Satpal Antil and SP City Kunwar Ranvijay Singh along with other top officials were present at both the main places. 

Thousands of people gathered to see the burning of Ravana on Dussehra. Like every year, this time also Ravana's effigy was burnt in Maharaja Harishchandra Degree College of Katghar police station area in Moradabad. District Magistrate and SSP were present here as the chief guests. 

Tight security arrangements on Vijayadashami.
During this time, the effigy of Ravana was burnt amidst tight security. A large number of police force was deployed here. The program was monitored through CCTV cameras. DM Anuj Kumar Singh and SSP Satpal Antil applied tilak to Lord Shri Ram and Laxman. 

Moradabad District Magistrate Anuj Kumar Singh said that important arrangements were made by the district administration and police administration. He said that there was no problem or obstruction of any kind anywhere and the effigy of Ravana was burnt peacefully.
