Skymet Weather, a private weather forecasting agency, has released its report on this year's monsoon. Skymet Weather says that in 2025, the monsoon will be normal in the country and farmers as well as common people will get relief. Along with this, the La-Nina situation will also not disturb the monsoon. To know about this in detail, we spoke to Skymet's President (Metrology and Climate Change) GP Sharma. Let's know how the monsoon is going to be this time.

According to Skymet, this year the monsoon will be normal. Normal monsoon means that the rain will be neither too much nor too less Skymet has estimated that this year the rainfall can be 103% of the Long Period Average (LPA).

LPA is the average rainfall, which was measured between 1971 and 2020. During this period, the country received an average of 87 cm of rain every year. If the rainfall is between 96-104% of LPA, then it is considered normal. Last year in 2024, the monsoon was 108% of LPA, that is, slightly more than normal. What do the figures say? This means that the chances are the highest that the monsoon will be normal.
