Lunar eclipse has special significance in Sanatan Dharma. This astronomical event occurs on the full moon date. Religious opinion is that during the eclipse ( Chandra Grahan 2024 ), the effect of Rahu on the Earth increases. Therefore, auspicious work is prohibited during the eclipse in the scriptures. According to experts, lunar eclipse occurs due to the presence of the Sun between the Earth and the Moon. It is contained in the Sanatan scriptures that during Amrit Paan, the Sun and Moon God recognized the demon Swarbhanu. They gave this information to Lord Vishnu. Immediately Lord Vishnu killed Swarbhanu by running Sudarshan Chakra and threw Swarbhanu's head and torso in two opposite directions. Since then, Swarbhanu i.e. Rahu and Ketu consider Sun and Moon God as their enemies. Eclipse occurs due to Rahu engulfing the Sun and Moon. Let us know about the second lunar eclipse-
