Ramayana story: It is a religious belief that by reciting Ramayana daily, a person gets the blessings of Lord Shri Ram and gets knowledge. People get inspiration through this religious text. In this article, we will tell you about a story related to Hanuman ji, in which the description of Lanka Dahan is seen. But do you know why Hanuman ji set fire to Lankapati Ravana's Lanka with his tail? If you don't know, then let us tell you about the reason for this.

According to the mythological tale, once Maa Parvati invited Lord Vishnu and Maa Lakshmi for dinner on Mount Kailash. During this Maa Lakshmi asked Maa Parvati that how do you survive in such cold. Maa Parvati was hurt by this question. After this Goddess Lakshmi called Maa Parvati to Baikunth Dham. Maa Parvati and Mahadev reached Baikunth Dham. Seeing the prosperity and power, she advised to build a magnificent palace

After this, Mahadev gave the responsibility of building the palace to Lord Vishwakarma. Lord Vishwakarma built a golden palace. After the golden palace was built, Mother Parvati called all the gods and goddesses. The scholar who came to worship the palace was Ravana's father Rishi Vishrava. He was dazzled to see the palace and asked Mahadev for the palace as a donation. On his request, Shiv Ji donated the palace, after which Mother Parvati, saddened, cursed Rishi Vishrava to burn the palace. It was because of the curse that Bajrangbali set fire to the golden Lanka (golden Lanka myth).

Lanka was burnt on the day of Budhwa Mangal

The last Tuesday of the month of Bhadrapad is celebrated as Budhwa Mangal. According to Ramayana, on the day of Budhwa Mangal, Ravana had set fire to Hanuman ji's tail. Hanuman ji had set fire to the golden Lanka to teach Lankan king Ravana a lesson, after which Hanuman ji went to the sea and extinguished the fire in his tail. But even with the help of sea water, he started feeling the burning sensation.

In such a situation, Hanuman Ji asked for help from Lord Shri Ram, then Ram Ji advised him to go to Chitrakoot mountain. Ram Ji said that a cool stream of water keeps falling on Chitrakoot mountain. Ram Ji told Hanuman Ji that with the help of that cool stream of water, he will get relief from this trouble.
