Kannauj Car Accident: A major accident took place on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway in Kannauj, Uttar Pradesh, where a speeding car went out of control, broke the divider and collided with an oncoming truck, the collision was so severe that the car overturned. Five people including 4 doctors died in this accident. These four doctors were posted in Mini PGI Hospital in Saifai and were returning from a wedding ceremony in Lucknow. Then they became victims of this accident on the way.

According to the information, this accident happened around 4 am on Wednesday, all of them were returning from Lucknow in a car, when their car crashed near channel number 196.200 of Agra Lucknow Expressway near Tirwa police station of Kannauj district. There were 6 people in the car at the time of the accident. The collision was so severe that all five died on the spot, while another doctor has been seriously injured. He has been referred to Saifai Medical College for treatment. 

 

Five people including four doctors died in
the accident. Dr. Anirudh Verma, Dr. Santosh Kumar Maurya, Dr. Arun Kumar, Dr. Nardev died in this accident, while another could not be identified. Dr. Jaiveer Singh, injured in the accident, has been referred to Saifai Medical.  

Dr CP Pal, Principal of Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar Medical College, Kannauj district, said that 5 people were brought to the hospital early this morning, who were declared dead. ID cards of 4 of them were found, all of them are doctors. The deceased have been identified and their families have been informed. One doctor was a resident of Kannauj itself. 

CM Yogi expressed grief

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has also taken cognizance of this accident. CM Yogi expressed condolences to the bereaved families of the deceased and directed the officials to immediately reach the spot and expedite the relief work. The Chief Minister has immediately sent the injured to the hospital and directed the district administration officials to provide them proper treatment. Along with this, he also wished for the speedy recovery of the injured.
