New Delhi. Prabhas-Deepika Padukone's film 'Kalki-2898 AD' is currently making a splash at the box office. The sci-fi film directed by Nag Ashwin has become the highest-grossing movie of the year 2024. This movie crossed the 500 crore mark at the domestic box office in no time.
This Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan starrer has so far surpassed films like Sunny Deol's Gadar 2, Bahubali 2, and Shah Rukh Khan's Pathan and Kalki has set its sights on Ranbir Kapoor's 2023 blockbuster film 'Animal', whose record is set to be broken. The first week of Prabhas's film Kalki 2898 AD was very good. This film was continuously doing business in double digits, but as the second week came, the film got jinxed and the movie's collection fell straight to single digits. However, despite this, Kalki is breaking big records in many films.
According to reports of Sakanlik.com, the business of the film was good on Thursday. While this Deepika Padukone starrer film did a business of 4 crores on the 15th day in Hindi, the movie earned 1.65 crores in Telugu. Apart from this, the film has earned 6 lakhs in Tamil, 35 lakhs in Malayalam, and 1 lakh in Kannada in a single day.
Prabhas will break the record of Ranbir Kapoor's film
Prabhas and Kamal Haasan starrer Kalki has done a total business of approximately Rs 232.9 crores in Hindi, Rs 32.2 in Tamil, Rs 253.85 crores in Telugu, Rs 20 crores in Malayalam and Rs 4.5 crores in Kannada in 15 days at the box office.
This film has so far made a net collection of 543.45 crores at the Indian box office, while the lifetime collection of Animal in India is 556.36 crores. Kalki 2898 AD has to earn only 12 crores at the domestic box office to break Animal's record. Animal's record can be broken by the weekend.
