New Delhi: As much as August and September were explosive months for the Indian box office, October has been equally dull. On 11 October this month, there was a box office clash between the films of two big actors.
On one hand, Alia Bhatt came to the theatres to impress the audience with the action film 'Jigra', on the other hand, after 'Stree-2', Rajkumar Rao was once again seen making people laugh with his dialogues as 'Vicky'. However, this time he romanced the national crush Tripti Dimri instead of Shraddha Kapoor.
Both the films had a good start, but in their second week, the condition of both is going from bad to worse at the box office. Let's see how both the films fared on Wednesday.
The year 2024 has started very well for both Rajkumar Rao and Tripti Dimri in terms of films. While Rajkumar's four films were released, Tripti also succeeded in impressing the audience with her acting skills in Bad News opposite Vicky Kaushal and Amy Virk.
Rajkumar and Tripti's chemistry in 'Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video' was well liked. The film had a good start at the box office, but after 12 days, the movie is now struggling. According to reports of Sakanlik.com, the earnings of Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video have fallen to millions on the 13th day of its release.
The day to say bye-bye to Jigra is near
The CD of that video of Vicky Vidya is just hanging in the box office, which may play again on the weekend, but it seems impossible for Alia Bhatt 's film 'Jigra' to rise again. This film has done a business of only 51 lakhs on the 13th day of its release at the box office, which is very less considering the stardom of the 'Raazi' actress.
The movie was released in two languages. While the film closed its account in Telugu after earning just 21 lakhs, in Hindi too, before completing two weeks, 'Jigra' has earned only 28.86 crores and has been included in the list of flop films of this year.
