Jerusalem: Israel PM Netanyahu on Ratan Tata Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed condolences on the death of former Tata Group chairman Ratan Tata.

In a post on X on Saturday, Netanyahu wrote a special message to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying that Ratan Tata has played an important role in promoting relations between Israel and India.

Netanyahu offers condolences to the Tata family 

Israeli PM Netanyahu offered his condolences to Tata's family and praised the industrialist's enduring legacy. Ratan Tata died on October 9 at the age of 86 while undergoing treatment at Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital. His funeral was held with state honours in Mumbai.

Ratan Tata was honored with Padma Vibhushan

Let us tell you that Tata, born on 28 December 1937 in Mumbai, was known not only for his business acumen but also for his philanthropic work. As the chairman of Tata Sons, he brought the Tata Group to the global stage by acquiring major companies like Jaguar Land Rover and Tetley. He was awarded the Padma Vibhushan in 2008.

Many global leaders expressed grief

Many other global leaders also expressed grief over the demise of Ratan Tata. German Ambassador to India Philip Ackermann called Tata a 'wonderful person' and a 'brilliant entrepreneur'. Ackermann met Tata 15 years ago and called Tata's demise a great loss for India.

French President Emmanuel Macron also offered his condolences, saying Tata's leadership had greatly advanced industries in both India and France. Macron praised Tata's "humanistic vision" and his lifelong commitment to social betterment.
