To keep the ears healthy

How to do Karna Randha Dhauti

  • Put your index finger in your ear and move it around in a circular motion.
  • Make a V shape with your finger.
  • Massage the inside of the ear gently.

To keep the eyes healthy

Eyes represent fire, so to keep them healthy, use cold water . Apart from this, you can also include some exercise in it.

Do eye exercises like this

  • Move your eyes in a circular motion. Three to five times clockwise and the same number of times in the opposite direction.
  • The practice of Tratak is extremely beneficial. In this, one has to focus on an object at a distance of three to five feet without blinking.
  • Place your palms on your eyes and open and close your eyes inside them. 
  • Close your eyes and rub your palms together and then place them on your eyes. Now slowly open your eyes.   

To keep the nose healthy

The element of the nose is earth. Its job is not just to smell, but it also transmits life energy inside us through our breath. The nostrils have great importance in yoga. They have been associated with the Sun and the Moon.

Do nose exercise like this

  • Massage the nostrils in front of the nose with the thumb of your right hand.
  • Massage both sides of the nose with the index finger.
  • The practice of Anulom-Vilom is also very beneficial in keeping the nose healthy.  

 

To keep tongue and skin healthy

The element of tongue is water and the element of skin is air. Some subtle activities are done to keep the skin healthy along with the tongue. Regular practice of these prevents premature wrinkles on the face and also keeps the teeth and jaws healthy.

Do tongue and skin exercise like this

  • Fill your mouth with air and hold it for 30 to 50 seconds. Then move the air in a circular motion.
  • Lightly massage the forehead, upper part of the lips and the chin with your hands. You can also use oil for this.
  • Fill your mouth with air and try to look up towards the sky or the ceiling.  

With the help of these small actions you can keep all five senses healthy.
