ITC informed after the market closed on Friday that the company has bought 2.62 lakh equity shares of Ample Foods for Rs 131 crore. With this, the company's stake in Ample Foods has increased to 43.75 percent of its share capital. The company said in an exchange filing, "The company has today bought 2,62,500 equity shares of Ample Foods Private Limited (AFPL) at a price of Rs 10 per share for a total value of approximately Rs 131 crore."

The company said that with this, the company's stake in AFPL is 43.75 percent of its share capital. Ample Foods Private Limited is engaged in the manufacturing and sales business of ready-to-cook snacks and food, sauces and spices, raw and daily meats, marinades, paneer and frozen food and snacks under the brand name 'Prasuma' and 'Meatigo'. Share performance The company's stock closed at Rs 409.30 on Friday with a decline of 0.024 percent. In the last one year, the company's stock has seen a decline of 3.18 percent.
