Maximum temperatures are expected to be normal or below normal in North Odisha, Western Himalayan region. The Meteorological Department has predicted heat waves to last for 10 to 20 days in many parts of the country. In some parts of Jharkhand, a warning has been issued for the first heat wave from April 4, while in some districts the maximum temperature may exceed 40 degrees Celsius. At present the temperature in Madhya Pradesh is 37-40 degrees Celsius, which can reach 42 degrees next week.
