The weather forecast for the quarter of April-June has also been released by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD). IMD has released the seasonal outlook for the quarter of April-June, 2024, which is shocking. In this, he has said that this time there are chances of severe heat. IMD has said that the effect of El Nino is likely to be neutral between April and June, but during this period there will be severe heat in some parts of the North and South.

The heat waves will cause maximum havoc in these places

IMD has said that most of the havoc of heat waves will be seen in most parts of South, and Eastern India, Central India, and the plains of North-West India. Maximum temperatures are expected to be normal or below normal in North Odisha, Western Himalayan region. The Meteorological Department has predicted heat waves to last for 10 to 20 days in many parts of the country. In some parts of Jharkhand, a warning has been issued for the first heat wave from April 4, while in some districts the maximum temperature may exceed 40 degrees Celsius. At present the temperature in Madhya Pradesh is 37-40 degrees Celsius, which can reach 42 degrees next week.   

IMD's forecast regarding rain

Normal or above normal rainfall is likely over most parts of northwest India and many parts of central India, northern Peninsular India, partand s of east and northeast India.
