The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) has recently made changes in the duties of many officers in the ministry, in this connection IFS Nidhi Tiwari has been made the private secretary of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Let us inform you that Nidhi Tiwari is a 2014 batch Indian Foreign Service officer. According to the order issued by DoPT, Nidhi Tiwari was currently working as Deputy Secretary in the PMO, but now she will work as the personal secretary of the PM.

Nidhi Tiwari's services as Deputy Secretary in the Prime Minister's Office have been commendable, due to which she has been given new responsibilities. As the Prime Minister's personal secretary, Nidhi Tiwari will have to handle many important tasks, including coordinating the daily work of the Prime Minister, organizing important meetings and coordinating with various government departments, etc.

Who is Nidhi Tiwari?

Let us inform you that Nidhi Tiwari is a 2014 batch Indian Foreign Service officer, she was currently working as Deputy Secretary in the PMO. IFS Nidhi Tiwari was made Deputy Secretary of the PMO in November 2022. Before joining the PMO, she was Under Secretary in the Division of Disarmament and International Security Affairs in the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). The officer is a resident of Mehmoorganj in Varanasi, she got 96th rank in the 2013 Civil Services Exam, during the preparation she was an Assistant Commissioner (Commercial Tax) officer in Varanasi itself.

According to media reports, the officers working as private secretaries in the PMMO office get their salary as per Pay Matrix Level 14. At this level, the salary of the officers is Rs 1,44,200 per month. Apart from this, dearness allowance, housing allowance, travel allowance and many other allowances are given to these officers. Apart from this, they are also given a car, a house near the PM residence and a watchman and security personnel.
