Outgoing US President Joe Biden has recently made a big claim about the last election. He said that he would have defeated Trump in the general elections held in November, but for the sake of unity of the Democratic Party, he decided to withdraw from the race midway.
"Mr. President, do you regret your decision not to run for re-election? Do you think that makes it easier for your predecessor to succeed you now?" a reporter asked him during a White House press conference.
Biden gave such an answer
He said, it is important to unite the party and when the party was worried about whether I would be able to move forward or not, I thought it would be better to unite the party. However, I felt that I could win again.
What will Joe Biden do before leaving office?
When Biden was asked by reporters at the White House if he was planning to pardon himself or any other member of his family, Biden said that he had no intention of forgiving himself because he had not done anything wrong. He also hinted that he might pardon many others before leaving office on January 20.
Joe Biden has pardoned his son Hunter Biden. He indicated that he may issue more pardons. But it depends on many factors.
