The Election Commission of India has issued a statement ahead of National Voter's Day stating that the number of voters in India has now reached 99.1 crores. The Election Commission has also said that the voter list in the country looks young and gender balanced. According to the Election Commission, there are 21.7 crore young voters in the age group of 18-29 in India. At the same time, the gender ratio of voters in the country has increased by six points from 948 in 2024 to 954 in 2025.

Soon there will be 1 billion voters

Recently, the Election Commission released the schedule for the Delhi Assembly elections 2025. During this, in a press conference, Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar informed that India will soon have more than one billion voters, which will be a new record. Let us tell you that the assembly elections in Delhi are to be held on 5 February. The results of this election to be held on 70 seats will be declared on 8 February.
