Gyanvapi Case ASI Survey: Today, Friday (25 October) was a very important day amid the ongoing court battle over Gyanvapi. The Hindu side has suffered a major setback regarding the Gyanvapi dispute. Now the Civil Judge Senior Division Fast Track of Varanasi, while giving his verdict, rejected the petition of the Hindu side demanding ASI survey.

On the Gyanvapi case, the Hindu side's lawyer Vijay Shankar Rastogi said that the court has rejected our application for additional survey of the entire Gyanvapi area by ASI for security. We will go to the High Court against this decision.

Let us tell you that in the court, the Hindu side has claimed the existence of Shivling under the main dome of Gyanvapi. Along with this, the Hindu side demanded an ASI survey by excavating here. The Muslim side opposed the petition of the Hindu side and said that the excavation could damage the mosque site.

Petition filed in the year 1991

In fact, a petition was filed by Harihar Pandey, Somnath Vyas and Ramrang Sharma in 1991 to acquire the ownership rights of Gyanvapi Mosque. After a hearing that lasted for almost two decades, two demands were placed by the Hindu side in the Civil Judge Senior Division Fast Track Court of Varanasi.

The washroom was sealed on the orders of the Supreme Court

In which the first demand was that ASI should conduct a survey of the wuzukhaana so that it can be ascertained whether there is really a Shivling there or a fountain. On the other hand, the Hindu side claims that there is a 100 feet Shivling under the main dome of the mosque. In such a situation, excavation should be done without damaging the structure of the mosque so that the claim of Shivling can be ascertained. Let us tell you that the wuzukhaana has been sealed on the instructions of the Supreme Court.
