Azam Khan News: The bail applications filed in two cases related to senior Samajwadi Party leader and former UP cabinet minister Mohammad Azam Khan were heard in the Allahabad High Court on Monday (September 2, 2024). While the High Court has reserved its judgment after the completion of the hearing in the case of stealing the municipal cleaning machines and hiding them in the soil at Jauhar University, the hearing on the bail application in the famous Dungarpur case of Rampur could not be completed. The court will now hear this case on October 10. Both the cases were heard separately in a single bench of Justice Samit Gopal.

In the first case, Azam Khan is accused of getting his men to steal the road cleaning machines purchased by Rampur Nagar Palika Parishad. The allegation was that Azam Khan, while being a cabinet minister in the Akhilesh Yadav government, made the cleaning machines purchased by the Nagar Palika Parishad disappear with the help of his messengers and got them hidden by digging the ground in his Jauhar University in Rampur. After the change of government in the state, Rampur's social activist Waqar Ali Khan had filed an FIR in this case.
