Amandeep Kaur Police Constable: Punjab's Bathinda Police has caught a senior female constable smuggling heroin. She has been identified as Amandeep Kaur. Kaur was on duty in Mansa, but she was attached to Bathinda Police Line. A case has been registered against her in Canal Police Station and she has been arrested. 

DSP City-1 Harbans Singh said that Vardhman police post in-charge ASI Manjit Singh and the ANTF team had set up a blockade on Badal Road under a joint operation. During this, the police team signaled a black Thar coming from Dhi Ladli Chowk to stop. 

This is how heroin was hidden

After stopping the car, a girl got out of the car and started running, but the lady constable and other team caught her. After taking her into custody, they searched her car and found heroin in a polythene bag in a box near the gear of the car. Its weight is 17.71 grams.

What did the police say?

The girl was identified as Amandeep Kaur resident of Chakk Fateh Singh Wala. The DSP said that after investigation it was found that the girl Amandeep Kaur is posted as a senior constable in Punjab Police. She was currently posted in Mansa and was attached to Bathinda Police Line. A case has been registered against her. Her police remand will be obtained after presenting her in the court.
