Haridwar Police Encounter: The police had an encounter with the accused of robbery at Balaji Jewelers located near Chandracharya Chowk in Haridwar, Uttarakhand. This encounter took place late night near Dhanauri. In which a miscreant was seriously injured after being shot. After which he was taken to the hospital for treatment where the doctor declared him dead. The police is searching for the other absconding accused.  

According to the police, both the criminals were armed and when the police tried to surround them, they started firing at the police. In self-defense, the police retaliated, in which one criminal was shot and seriously injured, while the other criminal escaped taking advantage of the darkness. The injured criminal was immediately brought to the district hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

The identity of the criminal killed in the police encounter

has not been revealed by the police yet. But, it is being told that he was a professional criminal. He was involved in many criminal activities before this as well. Police believes that this is the same gang that carried out the recent robbery at Balaji Jewelers near Chandracharya Chowk. Police is now conducting a combing operation in search of the other criminal who has fled. 

As soon as the news of the encounter was received, senior police officers and force reached the spot. While inspecting the spot, the officers appreciated the promptness of the policemen and directed to expedite the investigation. Heavy police force has been deployed at the spot and an intensive search operation is being carried out in the area. Superintendent of Police Paramendra Dobal said that both the criminals opened fire on the police after which the police also retaliated. During this, one criminal was injured, who was taken to the hospital, but he could not be saved. The second criminal has fled from the spot, who is being searched. We will soon be able to catch him too.
