Hapur News Today: 15 days ago, the body of a person was found in the forest of Upeda in Babugarh area in Hapur district of Uttar Pradesh. After receiving the information, Babugarh police station in-charge Vijay Kumar Gupta reached the spot with police force and forensic team. Where he took the body in custody and sent it for post-mortem examination. 

Looking at the dead body on the spot, it appeared that the person was brutally murdered by crushing him with bricks and stones. The police took the body in their custody, filled the Panchnama and sent it for postmortem and started searching for the murderer. Police investigation revealed that the deceased person was murdered by his own friend for the greed of money. 

The deceased became friends with the accused in Tihar Jail
. After this, the police arrested the accused friend and recovered the brick used in the murder, the deceased's mobile phone, watch and other items from him. The deceased and the accused became friends in Tihar Jail. At present, the police have arrested the accused and sent him to jail and have started further action. 

Hapur SP Superintendent Gyananjay Singh said that on the morning of January 13, Babugarh police station received information that a person's body was lying in the forest of Upeda. As soon as the information was received, the police station reached the spot. When the police saw the body, it was badly crushed by bricks and stones. The police took the body into custody and sent it for postmortem and started making efforts to identify it. 

Murder for greed of money
Police investigation revealed that the name of the deceased person was Virendra Rai and he was a resident of Basti. Virendra Rai used to work in property dealing while living in Rohini New Delhi and he had earlier befriended Vikas Tomar, resident of Bamnoli, Baghpat in Tihar Jail. After coming out of jail, Vikas had borrowed about two lakh rupees from Virendra, which Virendra used to demand every day. 

SP Gyananjay Singh while revealing the case said that Vikas got greedy so that he would not have to pay the money and he planned to kill his own friend. After this, Vikas won the trust of his friend and made Virendra Rai sit in his car and consumed alcohol. 

Things used in the murder recovered
He told that when Virendra got drunk, Vikas Tomar betrayed his friendship and took him to the jungle of Upeda in Babugarh area and killed him by hitting him with a brick. Now the police has arrested the accused Vikas Tomar and recovered the watch, mobile phone of the deceased Virendra and the car and brick used in the crime from him. 

Superintendent of Police Gyananjay Singh said that four cases of fraud are already registered against the accused Vikas Tomar, he was lodged in Tihar Jail in the fraud case itself. He has announced a reward of Rs 10,000 to the police team that successfully uncovered the incident.
