Wake up in Brahma Muhurta and take a bath. Clean the temple thoroughly before starting the puja. Then do Jalabhishek of Lord Shankar's idol and Shivling. Offer different flowers, Belpatra, Bhang and Dhatura etc. Male devotees can offer Janeu on Shivling, but women should not offer Janeu. Then make Tripund on Shiva's forehead with white sandalwood. Light a lamp of desi ghee and offer kheer. Chant "Mahamrityunjaya Mantra" 108 times with Rudraksha beads.
