Garuda Purana is one of the important Puranas of Hinduism. This book describes good and bad deeds in detail. Garuda Purana describes many things other than birth and death, heaven and hell. Along with this, the story described in Garuda Purana also describes which deeds of a person lead to the birth of a daughter in his house.

Dialogue between Arjun and Shri Krishna

According to the story, once Arjun and Shri Krishna were talking to each other, then a question came to Arjun's mind and he asked Shri Krishna that Madhav, due to which deeds do parents get a daughter? Then Shri Krishna answers it by saying that if a son is born in someone's house, then it is his luck, but if a daughter is born in someone's house, then it is a matter of good fortune for him. Shri Krishna further tells Arjun that only a woman has the ability to give birth. In such a situation, if there are no daughters in this world, then the development of mankind is impossible.

They become the parents of a daughter

Many times people do not take care of their daughters properly despite having money, while some people, despite being poor, raise their daughters with great love and care. That is why God gives daughters only to those who can become parents. God gives the wealth of daughters only to those who can raise them well. At the same time, Shri Krishna also tells Arjun that men and women get daughters only due to their good deeds in their previous births.
