Lucknow Building Collapse FIR: The death toll in the incident of collapse of a three-storey building in Lucknow's Transport Nagar on Saturday (7 September) at around 5 pm has risen to eight so far. 28 people have also been injured in this accident and now an FIR has been registered against Harmilap Building owner Rakesh Singhal on the complaint of Transport Nagar Chowki Incharge MK Singh.
Today, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has visited Lucknow's Lokbandhu Hospital and met the injured. After this meeting, CM Yogi said - "Today I met the people injured in the unfortunate accident of building collapse in Lucknow district at Lokbandhu Shri Rajnarayan Joint Hospital in Lucknow and enquired about their well-being and got information about their treatment from the doctors. Under the leadership of skilled doctors, proper treatment of all is being done on top priority. In this difficult time, the UP government is standing with the victims and their families with full readiness and sensitivity. I pray to Lord Shri Ram to grant speedy recovery to the injured."
Regarding this incident, the police said that "The building was built about four years ago and currently some construction work was going on there. The accident happened around 4.45 pm on Saturday evening when most of the victims were working on the ground floor. The injured have been admitted to various hospitals in the district including Lok Bandhu Hospital."
Akash Singh, who works in a medical warehouse and was injured in this accident, said that due to rain we had come down to the ground floor. We saw that a pillar of the building had cracked. Suddenly the whole building fell on us. According to the injured, most of the people working in the building were present on the ground floor at the time of the incident.
