Shocking revelations made in research

The number of oral cancer cases in India is rising significantly, especially in individuals with no history of the disease. The data was released by VPS Lakeshore Hospital during a press conference, based on research conducted by its head and neck department. VPS Lakeshore Hospital is a multi-speciality hospital located in Kochi, Kerala. The hospital is part of VPS Healthcare and is one of the largest hospitals in Kerala.

According to a study conducted by this hospital, 57% of the cases of oral cancer seen in recent years were of people who had no tobacco history. The surprising thing is that these people did not even consume alcohol. This means that such people also suffered from oral cancer.

The number of men is more than that of women

Even doctors were surprised to see the figures

The people who have been diagnosed with oral cancer in the research, did not consume tobacco and alcohol. Doctors are quite surprised to see this. Because till now it was said that oral cancer is caused by consumption of tobacco and alcohol. It was also noted in the research that 58.9 percent of the patients had mild infections, out of which 30 percent were suffering from several serious conditions. Currently, doctors are studying this research further so that it can be found out what is the reason behind oral cancer.
