New Delhi: New Zealand recently defeated India 3-0 in the three-match Test series at its home. The last Test of the series was played at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium in which Kiwi spinner Ajaz Patel bowled brilliantly and defeated the Indian team. After this, while Ajaz Patel is being praised everywhere, former Indian batsman Mohammad Kaif compared the Kiwi bowler to an Indian club bowler.

Ejaz has done a feat in Test cricket which very few people have been able to do and it is considered almost impossible. Ejaz is the bowler to take all 10 wickets in an innings of a Test. Only three bowlers have done this in world cricket so far. Before Ejaz, Jim Laker and Anil Kumble have done this. Ejaz also did this against India in Mumbai in the year 2021.

You will find such spinners in the club

Kaif has posted a video on his X handle in which he is discussing the Test series played between India and New Zealand. During this, he talks about the bowling of Ajaz Patel. He said, "Glenn Phillips is Ajaz Patel, I am not lying, where I practice in Delhi, at RP Academy, you will find such bowlers every day. If you see the pitch map of the balls that Ajaz Patel is bowling, then two balls he is bowling short. Two full-tosses. Two length balls, we are getting out there."

Kaif further said, "Phillips, who is a part-time bowler, his shoulder got dislocated. He must have never bowled so much. He is bowling full-tosses and the keeper is giving byes. That means zero bowling. We lost to part-timers. Even though Ejaz Patel has taken 22 wickets at Wankhede, but if you watch ball-by-ball, his ball is not landing, only two balls are being bowled right."

Questions raised on batsmen

Kaif has clearly raised questions on Team India's batsmen. He said that New Zealand's spinners were not bowling very well but still the Indian batsmen were unable to play them. Kaif seemed very disappointed with India's defeat. Not only Kaif but every Indian is disappointed with this defeat because no one had clean swept India in a Test series of three or more matches at home.
