ED Raid: Retired IAS officer Mohinder Singh's troubles have increased in the case of the scam of crores in the Lotus 300 housing project. Taking action in this case, ED raided a dozen places across the country. Raids were conducted in Delhi, Meerut, Noida and Chandigarh. During this, movable and immovable assets worth hundred crores have been found from the Chandigarh residence of retired IAS and former CEO of Noida Authority Mohinder Singh. 

Former IAS Mohinder Singh has held many important posts in the BSP government between 2007 and 2011. He built memorials and parks in the name of great men in Noida and Lucknow at a cost of crores. Apart from this, he is also accused of benefiting many private builders. 

Diamonds worth Rs 5 crore also recovered
According to sources, during the ED raid, cash worth Rs 1 crore and diamonds worth Rs 12 crore were recovered from Mohinder Singh's house, out of which the price of one diamond is Rs 5 crore. Apart from this, gold jewellery worth Rs 7 crore and documents related to the case were also recovered. This was a scam of Rs 300 crore, in which ED had registered a case of money laundering. Soon the vigilance team may also question Mohinder Singh. 

During the raid conducted by ED at the house of the former IAS, evidence of assets worth Rs. 100 crores has been found. A diamond worth Rs. 5 crores has also been found from his house. When he was questioned about this, he could not give any satisfactory answer about the diamond. It is claimed that so many diamonds have not been found in raids from the house of any government officer in UP till now.  

Mohinder Singh was very influential in the BSP government. He is accused of committing a land scam worth Rs 636 crores in connivance with builders during his tenure as CEO of Noida Authority. He had a good relationship with the operators of the Lotus project, with whom he embezzled crores of rupees. Now the vigilance has also become active in this case. 

After the ED raid, Vigilance is also going to issue him a notice for questioning. ED can question him in the memorial scam. After his name came up in the memorial scam, he went to Australia. He has returned from there after about two years. In this case too, investigation is being done on many points.
