UP News: There has been a scam at about 200 toll plazas across the country including Uttar Pradesh. In UP alone, scams have been revealed at about 100 toll plazas. This information has come to light after the disclosure of a nexus at Atraila toll plaza. If the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force is to be believed, a scam has been committed through software at all the toll plazas in UP. Now after this, orders for investigation have been given.

According to some media reports, the government has suffered a loss of Rs 750 crores due to this scam in the last five years. The reports claim that the recovery has been done by changing the software in NHAI's computer. There has been a scam of Rs 40 to 50 thousand daily in 5 years at 100 toll plazas in UP. Now NHAI has asked for a report in 3 days after investigation.

Department's action begins
According to reports, a big game of toll collection was going on by changing the software in NHAI's computer. But this scam has been exposed in the raid of UPSTF. After this, NHAI has now started taking action. In the letter issued by NHAI, it has been said that through some media reports, it has come to light that toll collection has been done by creating fake software.

NHAI has written in the letter that this is not tolerable. Serious complaints have been received in this regard. Immediate action has been taken to stop such complaints and orders for investigation have been given. It has also been taken care that this cannot be repeated in future. Now there is a preparation to take further action keeping in mind the contract agreement.

Some media reports have claimed that the STF has arrested three people involved in this scam. The accused have told that on an average, toll tax scams worth about 40 to 50 thousand rupees are being committed every year through software in Atrauli, Lalganj, Mirzapur.
