Coal India Limited (CIL) has announced the results for the quarter ended September 30, 2024. In the second quarter of FY 2025, the company has registered a profit of Rs 6,289 crore with a decline of 21.9 percent. In the same quarter of the previous financial year, Coal India had registered a profit of Rs 8,048.6 crore.

The company's income from operations fell 6.4 percent to Rs 30,672.9 crore as against Rs 32,776 crore in the same period last fiscal. EBITDA fell 14.2 percent to Rs 8,617 crore in the second quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 10,038.2 crore in the same period last fiscal. The CNBC-TV18 poll had estimated an EBITDA of Rs 9,512 crore for the quarter. Share performance The company's stock closed 3.62 percent lower at Rs 459.95 on Friday. The company's stock has seen a growth of 48.23 percent in the last one year.
