According to the mythological tale, once a demon named Bhaumasur or Narakasur had created havoc in all the three worlds. From humans to gods, everyone was troubled by his atrocities. Narakasur was cursed that he would die only at the hands of a woman, so he kidnapped about 16 thousand girls. To deal with this situation, Indradev went to Lord Krishna to seek help.
