UP News: The central government has approved the formation of the 8th Pay Commission for government employees and pensioners. This decision of the central government will directly benefit millions of people. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on this decision of the central government.

CM Yogi Adityanath posted on Instagram and wrote - "The approval given by the Union Cabinet to the 8th Central Pay Commission for all the employees of the Central Government under the successful leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is commendable. This welfare decision ensuring the economic progress of crores of Central Government employees dedicated to the creation of 'Developed India' will prove helpful in improving their lifestyle. On the auspicious occasion of Maha Kumbh, heartfelt gratitude to the Prime Minister on behalf of all the employees of the Central Government working in Uttar Pradesh for this decision benefiting crores of employees!"

Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has decided to constitute the Eighth Pay Commission. Union Minister Vaishnav said, "The Prime Minister has approved the Eighth Central Pay Commission for central government employees. The chairman and two members of the commission will be appointed soon. The minister said that the formation of a new pay commission in 2025 will ensure that its recommendations are received before the completion of the term of the Seventh Pay Commission."

Let us tell you that on Thursday (January 16), the Modi government, in a major decision, approved the formation of the Eighth Pay Commission to revise the salaries of central employees and allowances of pensioners. This step will benefit about 50 lakh employees of the central government and about 65 lakh pensioners. It is worth noting that the 7th Pay Commission was constituted in 2014 and its recommendations were implemented from January 1, 2016, its term is ending in 2026.
