Lucknow. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak and other BJP leaders paid floral tribute to Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee on his death anniversary. On this occasion, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath fiercely attacked the Congress over Article 370.
Chief Minister Yogi said, "Today is the martyrdom day of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, the visionary of Akhand Bharat... After the implementation of the Constitution after independence, the then Congress-led government had tried to seriously hurt the national integrity by adding Article 370 to the Constitution... Keeping in mind these intentions of the then government, Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, who was serving the country as the Minister of Industry and Supply, resigned from his post and for the prestige and integrity of the country, he started a massive movement to remove Article 370 from Kashmir.''

Yogi said, "He had to sacrifice his life for the Kashmir Satyagraha campaign he started with thousands of workers of Bharatiya Jana Sangh. Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee's dream is coming true today under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi by abolishing Article 370 in Kashmir."
