There are signs of differences again among the constituent parties of the Mahayuti government in Maharashtra. Earlier, there were reports of differences between Eknath Shinde's faction's Shiv Sena and BJP. Now, everything is not well between BJP and Ajit Pawar's party NCP. State Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has attacked NCP MLA and Agriculture Minister Manikrao Kokate on the issue of PS and OSD.
Speaking to the media in Nagpur, Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis said, "Manikrao Kokate (Agriculture Minister) probably does not know that the right to appoint PS and OSD lies with the Chief Minister. The ministers send their proposal to the CM and then the Chief Minister takes the final decision on it."
'I will not approve the names of people involved in wrongdoings'
According to news agency ANI, CM Fadnavis further said, "This is nothing new. I had clearly said in the cabinet that you can send any name you want, but I will not approve those whose names are involved in wrongdoings. So far I have received 125 names, out of which I have approved 109."
Some of these people are accused of being fixers- Fadnavis
He also said, "I have not approved the rest of the names because there are allegations against some of them. There is a perception in the ministry that they are fixers. Even if someone is angry, I will not approve such people."
On the other hand, the budget session of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly will begin from March 3 and the budget will be presented on March 10. On Sunday, a meeting of the Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council Business Advisory Committee was held in Vidhan Bhavan. Many leaders including Legislative Council Chairman Ram Shinde, Assembly Speaker Rahul Narvekar, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy CM Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar attended this meeting.
