Bomb Threat: Hotels in Uttar Pradesh's capital Lucknow have received bomb threats for the second consecutive day. About half a dozen hotels have received bomb threats for the second day. As soon as this information was received, the police became completely alert and security arrangements have been tightened. Checks are being conducted outside the hotels.
There has been a threat of bombing Taj Hotel Siwat in Hazratganj police station area. After the threat, the bomb squad along with the police reached to investigate. Suspicious objects are being checked in the hotels. Gomti Nagar Police and the bomb squad are present there. Investigation is also going on in Taj Hotel and Renaissance Hotel. It is said that this threat has been received through e-mail.
However, before this, on Saturday, many hotels in Gujarat had received bomb threats. After this, on Sunday, many hotels in Lucknow had received bomb threats. The hotels were threatened with bombing through mail. Many hotels including Hotel Fortune, Lemon Tree, Hotel Marriot located on Rana Pratap Marg in Lucknow had received threats.
Such incidents have been going on since April.
After receiving the threat, the hotel operators immediately informed the police. After receiving the information, the police reached the spot and started a large-scale investigation. The sender of the email is also being investigated. In India, from April to October this year, many schools, colleges, hotels and airports have received emails and calls threatening bombs.
These threats were given in many cities including Delhi, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai and Jaipur. The local police administration and security agencies are on alert regarding this. Most of the threats have been given through social media platforms. Now the central government is going to take the help of social media agencies like Meta and X to investigate the cases.
