Bihar Train Derails: Pune Special train (05289) derailed near line number 3 during locomotive setting in Muzaffarpur late on Saturday night, after which the railway station master and other officials reached the spot in a hurry and started investigating the matter. The East Central Railway official was informed about this matter. Sonpur division's 'ART' has reached and started the work of restoration of the engine. The reason for the incident is not clear yet.

Rail traffic was not affected on this route

According to the information received, the engine caught fire after the point was not fixed, due to which this accident happened. At the same time, Pune Special train was opened with a delay of about one hour and 15 minutes by attaching a second engine. At the same time, many officials of different departments of the railway are gathering information in the matter. Rescue work is going on since late night. However, rail traffic has not been affected by this incident.

Second incident in four days

It is being told that after placing the rack of Muzaffarpur-Pune Special on platform number four, the shunt driver took the engine towards shunting. The engine got derailed at the drill point, which the shunt driver informed to the control. After this, officials reached in a hurry. The work of lifting the engine manually has been started.
