The festival of Purnima is celebrated on the next day of Chaturdashi Tithi of Shukla Paksha of every month. This festival is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and Mother Lakshmi, the protectors of the world. Bathing in the holy river and donating according to faith on this day is considered beneficial for the life of the person. According to the Panchang, the full moon date of Bhadrapada month will start on September 17 at 11:44 am and will end the next day i.e. on September 18 at 08:04 am. According to astrological calculations, Purnima Vrat will be observed on September 17. Bhadrapada Purnima will be celebrated on September 18.

If we believe the astrologers, then Shivavas Yoga is being formed on Bhadrapada Purnima. This yoga will be formed at 08:05 in the morning.

Bhadrapada Purnima Puja Vidhi

One should wake up early on the day of Purnima. After this, clean the house. After bathing, wear yellow clothes, because Lord Vishnu loves yellow color very much. If possible, take a bath in a holy river on this day. After this, offer water to the Sun God as per the rituals. Place the idol of Shri Hari and Maa Lakshmi on the pedestal. Now offer fruits, flowers, clothes and offer sixteen items of makeup to Maa Lakshmi. Light a lamp and perform aarti and chant mantras. Finally, offer special things to the Lord. On this day, donating food, money and clothes according to your faith is considered auspicious.
