Axis Bank changed its SMS service charges

Axis Bank has changed the SMS charges for its customers and it has been changed from every SMS message to the total charge for every quarter.

Axis Bank has changed its SMS charges and has decided to charge 25 paise per SMS or Rs 15 for a quarter. Earlier this service of Axis Bank was based on Rs 25 per quarter, i.e. Rs 25 was charged for every three months per SMS. 

You can stop this service as per your wish

If you feel that you do not need this service then you can stop it at any time. Here we are telling you how you can stop this service. 

This is how you can stop SMS service

Call Axis Bank customer care number (1860-419-5555 / 1860-500-5555).
Submit a request to stop your SMS alert service.
The service will be stopped after your identity is verified.

Disable SMS service through Net Banking

Login to the official net banking website of Axis Bank.
Go to Services or Account Services section.
Select the SMS Alerts option from there. 
Choose the option to disable SMS alerts.
The service will be disabled after the required confirmation.

On whom this new charge will not be applicable

This charge will not be applicable on Axis Bank's premium account holders, bank staff, salary account holders, pensionary account holders, small and basic account holders. If you have some of these accounts, then you do not need to worry about SMS charges. Similarly, no charge will be levied for any information and OTP balance given by the bank.
