Ballistic Missile Test Successfully: India successfully tested a new type of medium-range ballistic missile off the Balasore coast of Odisha. Defense sources have given this information. Sources said that the test has proved the full capability of the mission and validated the new technologies. The ballistic missile tested by the Indian Air Force has a strike range of 250 kilometers, which means it can destroy enemy positions at a distance of more than 250 kilometers.
Sources said that the missile was tested from Abdul Kalam Island in the offshore area of Odisha and it meets the required parameters. According to sources, the missile tested by the Indian Air Force in Andaman and Nicobar Islands is the Israeli-origin Crystal Maze 2 air-launched ballistic missile, also known as ROCKS.
News agency ANIA, quoting senior sources of the National Security Institute, had said that last week the missile was successfully tested by a Su-30 MKI fighter jet at an island test range in Andaman.
The Indian Air Force is now planning to acquire a large number of Israeli missiles by Make in India because they have unique capabilities. According to defense sources, the missile launched by the Indian Air Force from Su-30 fighter aircraft first went upwards and then moved towards its target at high speed and was successful in hitting the target accurately.
Let us tell you that Crystal Table-2 is completely different from Crystal Table-1 which was included in the Indian Air Force from Israel long ago. Crystal Maze 2 is an extended stand-off range air-to-surface missile. It is planned to be used by the Indian Air Force to attack high-value stationary and mobile targets such as enemy long-range radar and air defense systems.
It has been claimed that this missile will reach its target even without GPS location, as India did during the Kargil War. Apart from this, this ballistic missile can also destroy the enemy target by intercepting the air defense system.
