Milkipur Bypoll Result 2025: BJP has registered a big victory by defeating Samajwadi Party in the Milkipur by-election. This is the third time in the electoral history of Milkipur that BJP has won this seat. Earlier, BJP had won the Milkipur seat twice. First in 1991 and then in 2017, BJP has won this seat. But now the party has won here for the third time. 

BJP candidate Chandrabhanu Paswan has raised the BJP flag in Milkipur, which was once a stronghold of leftist and socialist politics. This seat, which falls under Ayodhya district, came into existence for the first time in 1967 after delimitation. Then in the 1969 assembly elections, Harinath Tiwari of Jan Sangh won the election of MLA.

However, after this, from 1974 to 1989, Congress and Communist Party dominated every assembly election. But in 1991, in the tune of Ram wave, BJP won here for the first time. Then Mathura Prasad Tiwari won on BJP ticket. After this, till 2012, BJP had to face defeat in every election. 
 

The exile ended in 2017.
During this period, CPI, SP and BSP won. SP won five of these seats once, CPI once and BSP once. But BJP's exile ended in the 2017 assembly elections. Then BJP bet on Gorakhnath Baba as a young candidate and he lived up to the party's expectations and won.

But in the 2022 assembly elections, SP's Awadhesh Prasad again won and Gorakhnath Baba had to face defeat. But after Awadhesh Prasad became an MP in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, this seat became vacant and now in the by-election, BJP's Chandrabhanu Paswan has again won.
