Bengaluru: Union Minister Prahlad Joshi on Friday said Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is a dictator and demanded his resignation over the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) scam related to the illegal allotment of land to the chief minister's wife.
Prahlad Joshi said at the BJP headquarters, Siddaramaiah has become a dangerous dictator. He is arrogant and corrupt. He got BJP workers arrested. What will opposition leader Rahul Gandhi, who gives speeches carrying a copy of the Constitution, say about the MUDA case?
He further said that if the Congress high command has any "command left" then they should immediately remove Siddaramaiah from his post. Investigation of the Chief Minister is necessary in this case. Corruption on such a large scale is not possible without his involvement.
On the other hand, Siddaramaiah reiterated on Friday that he is being targeted in the MUDA case because he comes from the backward class. Meanwhile, Karnataka BJP President BY Vijayendra and several other party leaders, who were going to the Chief Minister's home district Mysore to protest against the MUDA scam, were detained in Bengaluru on Friday.
