US Mass Shooting.  The incident of firing has once again shaken America. The attacker killed 11 people in a New York nightclub at midnight on January 1. From schools, hotels to homes, incidents of firing have become a common thing in America.

America is troubled by gun culture

America, which calls itself the most powerful country in the world, is today troubled by 'gun culture'. Neither the Biden administration could take any concrete steps against 'gun culture' nor can Trump do anything. The population of America is about 33 crores but the number of weapons there has reached 40 crores.

Why is it that buying a gun in America is as easy as going to a grocery store and buying any item?

Politics behind gun culture

The simple answer is that this is a political issue for America. On one side there are people who are talking about banning weapons, on the other side there are people who want to keep weapons with them. Actually, supporters of the Democratic Party there support the strictness of Gun Culture, but supporters of the Republican Party are against it.

NRA played an important role in promoting gun culture

Actually, there is a big lobby in America that supports guns, whose name is - National Rifle Association (NRA).

This lobby has so much money that they can easily influence the members of the US Parliament, perhaps this is why in the past several elections, NRA and other similar organizations have spent a lot of money on politicians who support guns.

How easy is it to buy a gun in America?

So the answer is that every weekend in America there is a gun exhibition. Guns are available at outlets of big companies like Walmart as well as small shops. This is the reason that in the last 50 years more than 15 lakh people have lost their lives in gun attacks.

The minimum age limit for purchase is 18 years and for other weapons it is 21 years. Just like SIM cards are purchased, guns can be purchased by showing your ID card and filling a form.
