Aligarh News Today: Samajwadi Party leaders and women villagers have demonstrated to solve the problem of waterlogging in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh. The SP district president has met the district collector to resolve the problem of waterlogging in the village.
During this time, SP leaders raised questions on the current representatives of the Bharatiya Janata Party. District President of Samajwadi Party Laxmi Singh Dhangar has demanded from the administration to free the villagers from waterlogging and take strict action against the mafia.
Protest held at Aligarh Collectorate
Actually, the whole matter is of Aligarh. Where, fed up with the problem of water logging, dozens of villagers protested at Aligarh Collectorate under the leadership of SP District President Laxmi Singh Dhangar. The villagers say that they have been struggling with the problem of water logging for a long time.
The villagers allege that the land mafia has taken over the village pond, and complaints about this have been made to the officials dozens of times. On the contrary, the officials whitewash the matter and throw the complaints in the dustbin. This is the reason why the problem has not been solved till date.
Angered by this, dozens of women from the village have protested at the District Collectorate Aligarh. The women say that they have been troubled by the problem of waterlogging for a long time and due to this it has become difficult to leave the house. On this occasion, the villagers have made serious allegations against the public representatives.
'Dabangs illegally occupied the pond'
This whole matter is of Sikarna village of Kol tehsil of Aligarh district, where the village pond has been allegedly occupied by the strongmen. Because of this, all the water of the village flows on the roads. Due to lack of drainage, the entire village is facing the problem of waterlogging.
When the issue was not resolved despite repeated complaints, dozens of women protested at the district collectorate under the leadership of the SP district president. The women met the District Magistrate Aligarh and apprised him of their problem. On this, the District Magistrate assured them of resolving the issue and taking action against the responsible officials.
Samajwadi Party District President's jibe at the government
Samajwadi Party's District President Lakshmi Singh Dhangar said that the condition of the village has been bad for a long time, due to lack of development work, there are heaps of garbage everywhere in the village. The village pond is occupied by land mafia.
Laxmi Singh Dhangar attacked the government and said, "On one hand, the present government is running a campaign against land mafia. On the other hand, despite complaints, no action is being taken against the land mafia."
Aligarh District Officer Visakh G. Iyer has promised to provide relief
to the common people from the problem soon. He has said that the complaint letter received from SP District President Lakshmi Singh Dhangar and other villagers will be sent to the subordinate officers.
