correspondent, Agra.  Recently the results of JEE Advanced have been declared. In this, the sons of two painter brothers living in Rambagh of Tajnagri have secured good ranks. The father had dreamed of making his sons engineers while working as a labourer in a coaching institute and doing painting. Both the sons also decided to become engineers in class eight. In the result, the elder brother Shivam has secured 2989 rank and Abhishek has secured 2372 rank.

Shivam and Abhishek, originally residents of Narayan Bagh in Jhansi, are cousins. Currently both are studying at Rambagh. Shivam told that his father Virendra and uncle Rajendra came to Agra in 2000 in search of a job. Both the brothers started painting work along with working as labourers in Agra. Once while painting in Baluni classes, the teachers here told his father about engineering. That's when he dreamt of making his sons engineers.

Informed father about becoming an engineer

Shivam studied up to class 10 from St. Andrews and Abhishek studied up to class 10 from St. Mark's School in Jhansi. When Shivam was in class eight, his father told him about becoming an engineer. He then told Abhishek about becoming an engineer and both the brothers decided to fulfill their father's dream by becoming software engineers. In 2022, while studying in class 11, he took admission in Baluni Institute for Foundation Course.

Shivam told that he used to study in school from 7 am to 2 pm. Then he used to come home and after resting for two hours, he used to start self study. He used to study till 2 am with a gap of 20 to 25 minutes in between. As a result, elder brother Shivam got 2989 rank and Abhishek got 2372 rank in JEE Advanced and are moving towards becoming software engineers to fulfill their father's dream.

I have a knack for playing chess and badminton

Abhishek told that when the two brothers used to do sports apart from studies, they used to like to play chess or badminton. Usually they did not get time from studies. Whenever they felt like it, they used to entertain themselves by playing chess or badminton.

eat light food to avoid sleepiness

Shivam told that he had to study in school till 2 pm and then come home and study again. For this, he preferred to eat light food. He liked to eat roti and vegetables with less spices. Light food is good for studying for long hours. The stomach also remains light and one gets plenty of energy.
