According to reports from news agency ANI,  Vikrant Massey , who was a part of the Shanghai International Film Festival, said about the response that 12th Fail is getting, "My experience of attending this festival was very wonderful. The organizers had made very good arrangements there. I can't forget the energy inside the hall. I also met Chinese fans there, who were speaking Hindi so well that I was also surprised.

The story of this film depicts the story of those children who work hard day and night to clear the UPSC exam.
