Sanjay Leela Bhansali's web series 'Hiramandi' will be in front of everyone in just a few days. Bhansali, who is going to make his digital debut, has left no stone unturned. This thing was clear from the first look of the show itself.
Looking at the way Bhansali brings Indian culture and heritage into the sets in his films, it would not be wrong to say that he defines the word 'grand' on screen. But in the case of 'Hiramandi', Bhansali himself has left his trademark level behind. Bhansali has even said that the set of 'Hiramandi' is the biggest set of his life.
Bhansali shares set details
While talking to Architectural Digest, Bhansali shared interesting details about the sets of 'Hiramandi'. Bhansali made a shocking revelation that it took him almost 18 years to prepare the concept of this set.
The set also includes the royal palace of Mallikajan (Manisha Koirala), the most powerful courtesan of Hiramandi. The grand quarter of Faridan (Sonakshi Sinha), who is going to compete with him, is also included in this. There is also a big white mosque, a huge courtyard , and a hall with many beautiful fountains on the set.
Hard work of 700 artisans:
It was told in the report that this set has been prepared by about 700 artisans, which also includes shops, brothels , and hamam. Made under the supervision of Bhansali, the chandeliers and wooden doors on this set are also handmade. The set also has teak wood furniture from the 1930-40 era, purchased from an antique store in Ahmedabad. It was told that Bhansali himself had bought it for his collection.
Talking about this huge set, Bhansali said, 'When the characters are such that I love very much. So I prepare special places for them. My art director is nervous when I call him. Unless things are perfect I eat their brains. Making a good set requires a lot of love and responsibility. The design of a pillar also comes from someone's imagination.
Bhansali further said, 'This is the biggest set that I have made in my life. Because really, we have gone beyond the limits I had thought. Bhansali's show 'Hiramandi' will stream on Netflix from May 1. Along with Manisha and Sonakshi, actors like Aditi Rao Hydari, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Richa Chadha, Fardeen Khan , and Shekhar Suman have also worked in it.
