Kanpur News: Congress party workers and officials staged a sit-in protest near Bada Chauraha on Wednesday against the central government in Kanpur. The Commissionerate Police was not informed about the sit-in protest in advance and no permission of any kind was sought. On Thursday, a case was registered against 57 Congress workers and officials in Kanpur Kotwali for staging a sit-in protest without permission.

A case was registered on the complaint of SI Saurabh Singh of Kanpur Kotwali. Meanwhile, Congress Metropolitan President Pawan Gupta has confirmed the cases. Pawan Gupta said that we are not afraid of FIRs being filed against Congress workers. Congress workers will continue their protest against the government.

Regarding the protest by Congress workers in Kanpur in the National Herald case,
senior party officials said that everyone is upset with the work done by the central government in the National Herald case. Suddenly, activities have started in this case, which has increased the anger among Congress workers.

The protesting Congress workers and officials against whom a case has been registered in the police station include a senior member of the AICC along with an MLA. Violent protests were witnessed in many cities of UP on Wednesday by Congress workers and officials. The police have registered a case against 57 workers of the Congress party.
