New Delhi. Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras has launched a first-of-its-kind BTech course in Artificial Intelligence or AI and Data Analytics from the academic year 2024-25. The course will have 50 seats. Admission to the course will be through the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE).

IIT Madras Director V. Kamakoti said, the aim of the course is to develop expertise in various aspects of AI and data analytics. The course will focus on fundamentals of mathematics, data science, AI and machine learning, app development.

IIT Madras has revamped its Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree course. This course will encourage students to take up entrepreneurial opportunities. The total number of credits in BTech has been reduced from the earlier 436 hours to 400 hours.

IIT Guwahati launches entrepreneurship course Guwahati

 

IIT Guwahati has started an entrepreneurship development course in collaboration with the Government of Assam. Institute Director Professor Devendra Jalihal said that its aim is to empower local talents and promote innovation.
