
News Topical, Digital Desk : Over 60 girl students of a government girls' residential school in Telangana's Nagarkurnool district were hospitalised after they complained of vomiting and other symptoms following their dinner and 50 of them were later discharged, officials said on Sunday.
He said 64 students fell ill after consuming food at a residential school in Uyyalawada on Saturday night and were admitted to a government hospital and their condition is stable. A health official said the students were admitted to the hospital with symptoms of vomiting, diarrhea and stomach pain and 50 of them were discharged after treatment.
Why did the girl students complain of vomiting and diarrhea?
He said that when the students consumed the curd, it was not completely fermented and according to preliminary reports, this is believed to be the reason for the students falling ill.
Food samples sent for testing
Officials said that the incident will be investigated and samples of drinking water have been sent for testing. Based on the report, the exact cause of the incident will be known and necessary action will be taken accordingly.
