Doha: Qatar Airways has banned all passengers flying from Lebanon from carrying pagers and walkie-talkies following the explosions of walkie-talkies and pagers in Lebanon that killed 32 people and injured over 450. Qatar Airlines said the ban applies to carry-on luggage as well as cargo and will remain in place until further notice.

Qatar Airways said in its statement that following the directive received from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation of the Republic of Lebanon, all passengers flying from Beirut Rafic Hariral International Airport (BEY) are banned from carrying pagers and walkie-talkies on board flights.
There is chaos in Lebanon
Thousands of pagers exploded in Lebanon on Tuesday. So far 12 people have died in pager blasts, while thousands have been injured. After this, Hezbollah terrorists were targeted on Wednesday as well. Suddenly in the afternoon, radio sets (walkie-talkies) and other electronic equipment of Hezbollah fighters started exploding. There is an atmosphere of chaos in Lebanon after the attacks.

37 people have been killed in the attacks that took place two days in a row. Apart from this, about three thousand people have also been injured. It is being told that the pagers and radio sets in which the explosions took place were bought four-five months ago.
