Bangkok: Floods and landslides triggered by Typhoon Yagi and rain last week in Myanmar have killed 226 people and left 77 missing. The death toll from the natural disaster in Myanmar has crossed 500. The death toll is slow to be counted due to communication problems in the affected areas.

India sent relief materials

Indian Foreign Ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal said on Tuesday that under the Sadbhavna operation, the Navy and Air Force have sent the second consignment of aid to Myanmar. 32 tons of relief material along with 10 tons of ration has been sent.

More than six lakh people affected due to flood

More than six lakh people have been affected due to floods in Myanmar. Civil war is also going on in Myanmar and due to communication problems, the process of finding out the number of casualties is slow. According to the ASEAN Humanitarian Assistance Coordination Center, storm Yagi first affected Vietnam, northern Thailand and Laos. About 300 people died in Vietnam, 42 in Thailand and four in Laos.
